The Office Rush setting is supposed to be an office; this comes apparent only when you are past the first few stages. It is a platform game mixed with a sliding puzzle game. However, you don’t have to be a fan of sliding puzzles to like Office Rush! After you slide the block to the play position on the main menu screen, you proceed to the first puzzle which is an introductory puzzle explaining, in simple steps, what the purpose of the game is.

As a game, the first thing that shows is are 3 slabs of platform on your screen. Double click on the one with your protagonist and it’ll show up as a normal running + jumping platformer. You have to perform tasks, like killing the ninja and going to your little hut to sleep or get water for someone etc. To do that you play the platform part and when you are stuck, you zoom out to play the sliding puzzle in order to be able to complete your task.

Admittedly, I love this game. The graphics are great, I really like the music and the concept is really original and nice on the iPad. The screen is the right size for enjoyable play and the controls are great; not annoying like in a lot of other platformers. It would be great to have more different tunes (of the same quality) and to have a level editor so you can annoy your friends with homemade levels, but the game is perfect as it is right there. For $1.99 you don’t have to hesitate; you can just buy it!
