Ever thought of turning TapTap Revenge into a battle between you and your iPhone? Don’t worry if you haven’t, ‘coz Konami (the Unblock Me guys) has brought this concept to life with Reflec Beat +
Taking a thing or two from the Tapulous hit game, Rb+ provides an extremely musical game for free. A pair of hands and a good sense of music are all you need to get started.
You have a judgement line on your side and make sure no enemy beats pass through. Tap on the beat just at the line for high scores while missing a beat puts a minus one. Timing is the key and following the rhythm makes it a lot easier. The beats are color coded with bursting black ones , reflecting gold ones (Oh, that is where the name comes from!) and the red ones needing touch and hold. In addition to the judgement line, we have a decision point, where green beats are to be popped. By the way, the game isn’t as confusing as it sounds.
Multi-touch is indispensable as the game progresses and two hands won’t be enough. Countless beats attack you simultaneously and believe me, it really gets tough!
The animations are super cool while sound effects are even better. Countless customization options and the support for landscape mode are other welcome features. The free version provides only three songs for you to try out and if your thirst isn’t quenched, they have 3 more music packs for sale. Though the game takes some time to get used, I wouldn’t say its time wasted!
