“If you like pop island buy this” is one of the user comments that comes with this new game app from odenis studio, who previously did some cool games (like Pop Island) for the Nintendo DS and are now venturing into the IOS domain.

Basically, in this game, your phone is a wakeboard. Tilt it and you move back and forth, surfing. Once you get the hang of it, you can do flips and twists and jumps. The game is fast and there are loads of happy creatures like we saw in Pop Island and 15 3D environments. I wonder why they didn’t just call it Pop Island for IOS?

Personally, I don’t really like the graphics, I think they’re a bit too retro, but the gameplay is very fluent and fun, and with the hot weather we’ve been getting I do like anything that reminds me of sand and surf! And did I mention it’s FREE?
