User Rating:Golf was the first sport that I picked up as a kid; therefore it was no surprise that Sling Golf caught my eye. It took me awhile to understand what the sling in the title meant, but after a few disappointing rounds I finally understood.
I had initially expected some form of virtual golf simulation that emulated the real game, if not at least a decent game of mini-golf with creatively themed levels. However, what met me was another one of those slingshot based games, whereby you tap your finger on your character and pull it back, releasing it to release the ball.
Initial disappointment aside, Sling Golf failed to score in the visuals department too. Overly simplistic, I found no relevance to golf itself except for the need to hit a ball into a target hole.
Again, it also doesn’t help that additional characters and stages had to be unlocked with a fee through in-app purchases.
All in all, I must say that Sling Golf was pretty much a disappointment. Although a free app, I would still not recommend the download.
