Lets face it, we are a culture of megalomaniacs. We enjoy the sound of our own voices and we would like to think that other people cannot wait to see the next amazing photo we take of our lunch. The question is, with all these social outlets, how are we able to keep track of how many people follow us? How do we get a bird’s eye view of our social standing?

Static is an app that connects in with several different social networks/services and does one thing, gives you stats. From Static, you can see how many followers or views your accounts have. You can also see how many people your accounts are following. If you are wondering what else Static does then you will be disappointed because Static bills itself as a simple single task app.

The order of the accounts can be changed and by tapping on them you can toggle the information displayed. Static pulls its Twitter credentials from the iOS system so you will have to input your info there. All the other accounts (currently Dribble, Google Analytics, Github, and Instagram) are authorized from within the app. The app has an about page on it that has a button to request services that you would like added. so hopefully the future will show additions services.

As it stands now Static is somewhat of a niche app. What it is designed to do it does very well. You can quickly see you followers/following stats in a clean and well designed layout. For those that need to track this kind of info on the services that Static support, this app will be a joy. For others, I feel, Static will just fade into the white noise of all the other apps on their device.
