Endless runner games started showering at the AppStore after the huge success of Temple Run. Subway Surfers is one of the drops, which tried to keep things different and made a mark of its own.
You have a thing for art and what better showcase than spray-painting at the subway! A cop and his little dog interrupts your latest masterpiece and the eternal chase starts. All you have to do is make sure you dont get hit by a train or fall over the hurdles. There is a three-liner path and you can swipe to change tracks. Swipe up to jump and down to crouch. Dodge trains, climb carriages, jump over posts, hop up the platforms and try to get as far as possible without getting caught.
Just like the Temple Run, we have lots of coins to collect and can be used to buy power-ups like hoverboard, headstart, mystery box etc. During the gameplay also, you come across many pick-ups like 2x, jetpack, jumping shoes, magnet etc which helps you get top scores. High-speed trains, long tunnels and narrow tracks are also thrown your way to keep things difficult. The game progress in levels and each one requires you to complete 3 different missions like jump three hurdles, take 500 coins, buy an item etc.
The animations are fluid, colorful and flawless, while the prominent background score is unique. The developers have decided to go dynamic as can be presumed by their regular seasonal updates. The last one was the Christmas version with a red hat, Santa and snow covered trains. The current one is World Tour: New York with the unique NY touch and from the name, we hope more countries are on the way.
