Personally, I am NOT a morning person. At all. So any app that can take the edge off an early morning’s start is very welcome indeed. Enter Wake Up Pills, a new app called “the guaranteed alarm”!

The great thing is, everything can be customized: you can change the clock, the tunes, the pictures, the brightness. You can also get someone to say something personal, like your kids or your spouse saying they love you, but you can also try something inspirational like a Tony Robbins type start to your day “Every day and every way I am getting stronger and stronger”. I think that could really help with your affirmations.

A funny extra is the quiz option, the wake up challenge, which means you have to solve a puzzle before the alarm can be turned off. Which has a down side: if you can’t manage the puzzle, the alarm will still be ringing and ringing…. But it’ll sure wake you up and get your brain in gear, so I thought that was quite clever. All in all, nothing will make me enjoy getting up early, but every little helps and guess what? It’s free!
