User Rating:Word Crush is played very similarly to Scramble With Friends, albeit with a much more aesthetic layout. A grid of seemingly random and shuffled letters are presented to the player and the crux of the game is to simply identify as many letters as you can. Players do this by selecting the various letters presented and forming words out of them. The game is over when time runs out or when all the words are found, whichever comes first.
I must spend a bit of time talking about the visual effects of the game. Sleek and stylish, Word Crush can be described as eye candy and a sight to behold. Neatly arranged letters and brilliantly colored/themed panels adorn the levels, and this is a stark contrast to what you would see on the otherwise unruly Scramble With Friends.
Game play is very smooth. I did not experience crashes or lags or any other issue of that sort. the whole experience of handling this game was very smooth and enjoyable indeed.
Power ups are also available to aid as hints of sorts when it comes to solving the puzzles.
While I can get similar games of this sort free, Word Crush costs $0.99. However, given the quality of play provided I believe it has more than justified its costs.
