User Rating:If the definition of an App were “to make your life easier“, Zapd would have been the best example. We have seen a similar app called Webr, but with their latest update, this former App of the Week has opened new doors to mobile web designing.
If you have been longing to start the blogging hobby but couldn’t because of poor coding skills, now is the time. Zapd is here with tools to get your blog up and running is just 5 minutes. Tap the plus icon, select a theme of your flavor and type some caption with the content. Done! No hosting charges, no ads and your beautiful blog (zap) has been setup at the Zapd servers.
Other than the normal text posts, you can include pictures or links and drag & re-place them to reorder. View your blog on Safari and share it on FB & Twitter or via SMS or email. If you have a buddy who shares your interest, use the collaborate feature to maintain the blog, together. The Zaps are beautifully executed in both moble and desktops browsers (each theme in their long list is worth a look).
In addition to this tool, Zapd is also a soicial network (after the huge response to instagram, anything and everything is being turned into a network) where you follow other zapders, like or comment on their posts and vice versa. You can invite your friends to start their own zaps and keep in touch with them, as well. Currently, there is no option to transfer the blog to a custom domain and hence, Zapd cannot be considered as a blogging platform like WordPress or Blogger. This is not one of the most stable apps on the Appstore, as it crashes often and also Zaps return server errors, occasionally.
Being a blogger myself, I can surely comment that this is not a full blown professional blogging tool. But, for those who are thinking of a personal or a time-pass blog, Zapd is surely an option to consider.
